Hello, If you cannot hear the fuel pump, check the fuse for the fuel pump, and make sure the relay is clicking on when the key is turned from off to run. Also, checking for power at the fuel pump will let you know if the fuel pump has failed. If it gets power, but does not run, it has failed. Also, bear in mind that the fuel pump may not stay running until the engine is turned on. It should prime, wait, and restart once the engine is running. You should always hear it prime when the key is turned or when the driver door is opened (depending on the car). Plug wires in the wrong spot will cause the engine not to run, or cause it to run extremely poorly. The firing order is 1-3-4-2, and cylinder 1 is the closest to the drive belts, 4 is next to the transmission.
