Cracking spark sound when turn the key to start

What is your question?

When turning the key sometimes it makes a cracking spark noice. The radio is off but reads Delphi when it usually reads HummerH3, I had spark plugs/ wires changed, do I need to change the ignition coil also? This problem is worse in cold weather!
