I cannot start my car because of the passlock system. It will not reset.

Vehicle will not start lock symbol shows up on dash. I researched the internet looking for people with similar problems. I got the vehicle running this morning then it shut off again. Same problem.
Your post says I just need to disconnect the electrical connector to the door latch mechanism. The torque screws you refer to are the ones holding the electrical connector to the latch?

Hi. This all seems a bit left field -- are you using the proper programmed key to start the vehicle? Do you have a different key you could try? Is the vehicle's battery fully charged and active?
