If one inserts the smoking end of a smoke machine into the vacuum port of a brake booster and smoke billows out where the brake pedal connects in the cabin, is that a 100% condemning diagnosis that the brake booster has a leak and should be replaced?

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The "smoke machine" is made for evaporative emissions system issues. I do not know of a real use of the smoke machine with the brake booster. As a result, I cannot speak to valid testing data using a smoke machine with the brake booster.
