What is your question?
My current issue is the left front wheel locks up after driving 1-2mi. After checking all else, son says it could be ABS module gone bad. Is this a possibility?
How long has your 2006 Honda Ridgeline had this problem?
A week

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! A locking left front wheel after a short drive on your 2006 Honda Ridgeline could point to a failing ABS module, but let’s make sure it’s not something simpler before we hand it the blame. The ABS module can cause issues if it starts sending incorrect signals, like applying brake pressure to a single wheel when it shouldn’t. This could result from an internal fault or even a bad wheel speed sensor misreading conditions. However, before you go down the ABS rabbit hole, check for: 1. A stuck caliper or slide pin on the left front brake. Heat buildup from this could mimic a "lockup." 2. Contaminated brake fluid that’s causing uneven pressure—old fluid or moisture can boil during driving and wreak havoc. If you’ve ruled out mechanical causes and your ABS light is on, your son might be right about the module. A shop with a scanner can read ABS system codes to confirm.
