I've seen ads for OBD interface diagnostic tools. I'm tired of paying mechanics for diagnostics. There are so many to choose from! Any suggestions?

go to ebay, type "elm 327 mini", filter by location:North America, sort by:Price (low to high), buy the cheapest one Just bought one yesterday for about $8, shipped. They're all the same, don't waste your money on a more expensive unit. All you need to pull the codes is an android phone (with bluetooth) with the Torque app installed. once you pair the unit (pin 0000 or 1234) you can scan and clear codes wirelessly, even leave the reader in while you drive and the app lets you view engine statistics
