What is your question?
Just inherited a 92 Prelude and the fuel gauge doesn't work, so have no idea how much gas is in my car which has me constantly filling up. I got the car about 2 months ago, before that it had been sitting in my son's garage for almost 3 years. The night I finally got to take it home, the gauge worked, but when the front brake pads caught fire (because the calipers locked up), and I had to park the car, the gauge went off never to turn on again (I do not know if these things are related). A friend of mine and I have tried to figure out what is happening, but its kinda weird because following the schematics for the gauge cluster, everything seems to points to the dimmer switch (which works). I don't know anything else to tell. Does anyone have any ideas?.....

Part of your statement says gauges don't work. Im under standing it's a light problem. If the reosat controls the rest of the lights then it's fine. That car is old enough to have individual bulbs. Just pull the cluster and change all the bulbs while your in there. Or ck for power and ground first. Then you will know ether way witch direction you have to go..
I know you guys posted this a month ago but I have a '92 and have been through this problem. There is a sub meter assembly has the fuel/temp gauge and the clock installed. Take that out and remove the back and take out just the fuel/temp gauge. the problem is on the small brown daughter board on top. You'll need some soldering/desoldering skills. Here's a link to ans Aussie site that has pics. I have fixed 3 of these now. Let me know if I can help out. Mike P
