What is your question?
I had my tires rotated and on my drive home, I heard clunking and my steering wheel started vibrating. I pulled over and found that 3 out 5 lug nuts were loose enough that I attempted to tighten them with my hand. I had my son tighten the lug nuts that night and make sure the torque was correct and it's still making a noise. We took the tire off and checked the rim and the lug studs. Possible reason could be the thread holes in the rim have warped?

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Lug nuts left loose – this is a serious issue. However, if they were able to be retorqued without any further problems, all should be well. As far as a continued noise, a physical inspection is needed to find out what is going on. It may or may not be related to the lug nuts being left loose. I do not believe that the rims have issues as a result of the loose lug nuts. I suspect something else is happening, but it will take hands-on inspection to figure it out. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
