Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! While resetting a light (or clearing the codes) is a normal process to be followed after a repair, doing so just as a means to be free of that pesky light isn't recommended. The light is an indication that the module responsible for monitoring things like your catalytic converter (and hundreds of others) has noticed through its testing and evaluation that something isn't right. I'd recommend waiting for the light to return and then scheduling an appointment to have it diagnosed by a professional. As for your mileage appearing to take a hit, there's a number of factors that affect fuel economy. Everything from quality of the fuel, age of the vehicle, driving habits, road conditions, driving habits, etc. Hopefully, it's just a blip and your Pilot will be back to cruising around town smoothly soon!
