My Honda Pilot won't stay calibrated and constantly flashes.

The calibration on the screen blinks all the time, but the direction traveled is still accurate. At first it only blinked intermittently, but now it always blinks. I have tried re-calibrating the car per the manual instructions and every time I turn the car on after recalibrating, it blinks again. I'm just wondering if this is a common issue with Honda, and what you did to solve the problem? I am trying to avoid an expensive trip to Honda.
