Hello, Honda Pilot's can be a little tough on front brake rotors -- they can definitely get hot and warp. A couple of tips here -- not knowing anything about your topography and driving habits and location -- except that McCloud is just outside of Mt Shasta, and sits at over 3,000 feet...meaning you're going up and down mountains probably often enough. Here's what I recommend: 1) Use Genuine Honda brake components. At least the pads. The rotors -- even if you use quality aftermarket parts, you should be OK. But Honda rotors would be ideal. 2) Make sure you know the source of your brake rotors and how they are stored. Brake rotors should never be stored vertically -- because it creates an out of round situation right out of the box. If you don't know or trust the chain of warehousing, which would be difficult, I'd go Honda and you'll be fine -- because Honda will store them properly 100% of the time. 3) Perhaps most importantly -- replace your brake fluid frequently! You should have replaced your brake fluid at least 2 times since 2015 -- have you ever replaced it? Brake fluid by nature is hydroscopic, which means it attracts moisture and water naturally no matter what you do. When this happens, the boiling point of the fluid becomes lower, and the brakes are susceptible to overheating a bit quicker than usual. Overheating brakes causes brake rotors to warp and vibrate and accelerates brake wear. Honda says replace your brake fluid every 3 years. I'd probably replace brake fluid on a Pilot in your environment every 2 years to be safe. Do you ever tow? That can cause extra stress on brakes also. Hope some of this information helps; I know what it's like to have a Pilot that has vibrating brakes!
