The 2013 Honda Pilot Touring engine will start to heat up (above half way point on gauge) after 3 hours of stop and go driving with the AC on, then engine will cool down to normal level (half way point on gauge) after shutting off AC. Will repeat this process day after day and do not know what could be causing this issue.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Driving with the AC on for 3 hours.

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Have you checked the condenser fan for proper operation? The biggest thing that stands out - however uncommon it may be - is that the cooling fan may not be working as designed and needed. Hands on testing, overall, is highly recommended.
