We have replaced the pads and had the rotors machined. Intermittent grinding noises continue. Mechanics can find nothing wrong. We have had them checked three times.

If the rotors have been reground and the brake pads were replaced I could only assume the quality of the brake pads is the problem.
i had the same problem...2007 pilot ....grinds with old and new pads..mechanics find nothing wrong.....could be the metal brake dust plate on the inside rubbing the caliper..the pilots rear breaks generally wear faster than front. every 35k for rear about every 50k for fronts
