What is your question?
Hello, Got a 04 pilot and the drive belt kept slipping off on the lower left side pulley. The repair is to install the new serpentine belt and tensioner. I have removed the top tensioner bolt however having difficulty getting to the lower 12mm. to remove the unit. The lower /front splash pan is off for access but still looks very hard to get access a tool, without removing more clips to the fender well. Looking for away to get to the lower bolt of the tensioner without, removing a tire, clips, jacking the car up etc... I have no mechanics rolling creeper however, access to a full roll away tool box, to use. Lastly, is there a way to add a audio to this post?.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Access to remove the tensioner
How long has your 2004 Honda Pilot had this problem?
A few days

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. No, no way to add audio to this post. I am sorry to say that the workshop manual just says to remove the bolts. It does not give any indication that access is a concern. Keep in mind that repair procedures for vehicles assumes certain facts: it assumes that there is a multitude of hand tools available to do the job, and an available with jacks and other support devices available to make it more convenient to access components. Sounds to me that if you had a lift and better access, the bolts would likely be more accessible. I know that's not the answer you're seeking, but it's realistic. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
