engine has problem one sparkplug hole messed up

You can have a really good shop put in a thread insert the term is 'timecert' in a damaged spark plug hole, I have done this on several occasions. I would look in this before I condemned the engine. You can also pull off the head and have a really good machinist aluminum weld the hole and re-thread it.
