My Odyssey’s air conditioner will sometimes just stop working. After I drive for about 15 minutes it will start working. This never happens in the morning. It’s always in the afternoon as I’m leaving work. It started doing this in June. Only One time did it stopped working at night. It was after I had driven 4 hours. Not continuous driving but with a rest every hour. SoMetimes when it fails the fan will blow out very slowly and sometimes the fan won’t work at all. I always leave the a/c on when it is not working and then after I drive 5-10 minutes it will suddenly start working as if there is nothing wrong with it. The fan is high and the air is ice cold. The a/c works as well as the day that I got it. Even in 90 degree heat sometimes I have to put the fan on the lowest setting because ot gets too cold. We had our never failing mechanics look at it and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. They had it on a day when it was raining and it was slightly cooler than the other days.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It’s worse in hot afternoons after it has been sitting in the sun.
