What is your question?
After starting car, headlights would turn off by themselves, high beams no longer work, wipers work on fast speed but when slower very sluggish. Rear lights also stop working. One other thing - if you leave headlights as being in an on state with car off and key in ignition, the dash light for the headlight blinks like crazy along with the radio lights. Took it to dealership and so far they haven’t found how to fix. They’ve told me all fuses and grounds are “good” and the only thing not done so far is looking internally behind the wheel and dash. Quoted me $2400 to replace wire harness as a result of open wire code. Prior I suggested water intrusion and possibly to remove the internal drivers side fuse in the fuse box that goes to the primary fuse box under the hood to at least see if the lights/wipers/radio stop working all together to isolate the issue since all those fuses are in the primary under hood box. Anyone have any thoughts? My reg mechanic not avail until Monday.

Hey, I'm Dusty, one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team. I can imagine this has been a total headache for you. The weird stuff you're seeing could be caused by water getting into the wiring harness, the various modules, or other electrical components. Typically though you would have seen evidence of water in the cabin of the vehicle, usually the carpets become saturated, you may even hear water sloshing side-to-side while making turning, etc.. The problem is figuring out if that's what's causing it, and then finding and fixing the leak (so it doesn't happen again) if there is on, and then fixing the damage the water caused. It's going to take some time to sort this out, and I wouldn't replace the harness unless it was absolutely necessary, and only after everything else had been ruled out. If your regular mechanic isn't comfortable with in-depth electrical diagnosis, I would consider finding an electrical specialist, it could make the entire process quicker and easier for all involved.
