What is your question?
Drove vehicle today, battery warning light came on. Drove another mile, then pulled off road as power seemed fading. Turned off let sit about 5 minutes. Started it - fine, no lights; drove less than 1/10 of a mile to safer position. Waiting on tow, started up - battery light comes on. After a few minutes, triangle warning comes on, followed by rest of dash warning lights. Took to mechanic - said bad starter - fixed starter then when they started car it started fine but then when the car was put in reverse it wouldn't move. First time this has happened. Although mechanic said when he put in reverse to put in the bay it lurched - hesitated & then went into reverse. They want to run a diagnostic in the morning but I'm thinking transmission. Even worth the diagnostic or should I just have it towed to transmission place?

Hello, the faulty starter diagnosis does not correlate to the other concerns you are stating -- such as a battery warning light and a triangle warning light and other dash lights. Starter motor failures do not cause those things ever. Transmission failures -- although possible -- are not terribly common on this vehicle. It just seems inconsistent with the rest of the story. No reverse engagement is concerning, but some good testing is needed before condemning anything at all. I would highly suggest a different technician provide a fresh opinion on your vehicle. just had one in the shop...first its an alternator not a starter and for some reason when the battery is low the car wont go in reverse..i dont know why but there is no trans issue
