Where exactly is it located?

Hello, as a Honda guy in general, I would have to ask: why do you need to know this? I can't remember ever having to replace this part on a Honda 3.5L V6. The answer is: passenger side of engine compartment, towards the front of the engine. I'd be shocked if it needed replaced.
It looks as if the timing belt has to come off to replace the sensor. The real question is why do you think you need a sensor? What are the symptoms?
when you get the code p0010 and multiple misfire you want to rule out the CPS and there are no post about the location. and being a honda guy your direction is very vague. other post say it is behind timing belt but no one gives an specific location
Hello, first: I've searched the entire Honda shop manual for a 2007 Odyssey and see no indication that a P0010 is even a code that could set in the powertrain control module, as it is not listed in the list of possible trouble codes for this vehicle. Please check to ensure you are using a compatible scan tool, as the information you have to start with is certainly not accurate. This could help clarify your "multiple misfire" situation as well. My "direction" is from someone trying to help in a public forum from about 2000 miles away from you, more advice than direction. You would indeed have to remove the timing belt to get to the cover for this part, but again, I can tell you that in the last 10 years working with the Honda 3.5L V6, my shops have never had to replace one a single time. Does this mean that you don't need a camshaft position sensor? No, certainly, anything is possible. However, dealing with Honda vehicles which typically have few if any problems with engine performance comparative to most other manufacturers out there, and with a knowledge base of pattern failures that I have seen in the field over the last 25 years, I can tell you it's highly unlikely that you have a failed camshaft position sensor causing your concern. My advice is to provide more detailed information as to what problem you are having so that maybe something would seem familiar with my past experience and I could maybe give you further advice and guidance from my computer. The best, of course, thing to do is to seek out the guidance of a local Honda certified technician with proper shop manual reference material and an updated Honda diagnostic tool. Hands on inspection could indeed save you the nightmare of attempting to remove the timing belt and replace a sensor that has not failed. (Loss of camshaft position sensor signal is actually P0344 on this vehicle). Again, in an effort to try and be helpful, share more information. First, how many miles on this Odyssey? Has the timing belt been replaced previously? Any work done recently? Have the valves every been adjusted? What is the MAP sensor reading? List all DTC's that you are retrieving (accurate or not; preferably obtain a diagnostic tool that is accurate!) Hopefully you can see that my intent is not to be "vague" but rather helpful to you, and I'm trying to put up a red flag for you to stop and not do something out of haste based off of a very erroneous guess. Most folks I provide advice to on here seem to want to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on guesses under the guise that they want to "save money", in the end costing them far more than obtaining professional help. Developing a trusted relationship with a professional near you is invaluable.
