After my van is warmed up and run it for a few miles I lose power. If I pull over and shut it off and restart it then I can go again but depends on how long the van wants to go for.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, stop guessing. The fuel filter is an integral part of the fuel pump assembly, and as a result is not a likely cause of failure. Diagnostic testing is needed to find out why you are having malfunctions. Seek a local shop near you for some help.
