Hello, testing - hands on - is needed to find out what is happening. Has the timing belt been replaced -- recently? Perhaps related to the installation of the belt? There is a service bulletin addressing one possible cause for this code, and that's front camshaft excessive end play -- which would require replacing the front camshaft. But that's merely one possible cause and there's a test procedure to carry out that is step one of that bulletin.
