manual sliding doors don't close in cold weather

What is your question?

I tried warming up the van, which worked once. Second time, vehicle was running >30 min - still didn't latch. Tried spraying WD-40 in front and rear (back of door) latches - worked for one side, not the other (at least not right away). Have been avoiding using doors under 32degrees... any more permanent fix available?
