06 odyssey exl 3.5l. Replaced all 6 plugs and coils with NGK iridium oem specs. Obd says all six cylinders plus random misfires. My check engine light starts to flash going into limp mode. Ive spent 3 restless days working on this thing. Brought it to the shop this morning they called me a few hours later and told me to take it to Honda. It has 175411 miles no more warranty and def cant afford Honda right now. We have 3 kids and its our only car. Anybody have any ideas. Ive replaced the gaskets on the 2 cylinder cases as well as the spark plug tube seals with gromets. New gasket on the throttle body new MAF sensor and a few hoses as well. Also cleaned the EGR valve can pull the little piston down on it but not sure if working not getting a code for that. The timing is okay as well. Any and all help is much appreciated. Also I noticed the eco light on the dash used to stay on now it goes on and off every few seconds.

I'm so sorry to hear this. If a shop gave up on it right away I'd try another shop. I'd say check fuel pressure but I'm going to assume the shop did that already. This could also be a vacuum leak but if it's a dead misfire you may want to check compression too. Use this link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
Compression test is needed. Also, you stated plugs were replaced -- were the old plugs oil fouled at all? These engines could have piston and ring issues due to lack of maintenance (enough frequent maintenance, that is...), and the spark plugs can get fouled quickly. Hard to say without hands on diagnostic testing. As Alex said, someone should spend some time on this vehicle -- perhaps another shop -- before giving up.
Yes the cylinders were filled with oil. Thats way I did the gaskets and tube seals. When I replaced them and cleared the codes everything was good for about 2 or 3 weeks then one day my wife was driving home and it happened again(flashing check engine, vsa with a triangle exclamation mark) which I believe is limp mode. If we shut the car off and turn it back on it goes away for a bit. When I checked the codes after that it said P0305 indicates that cylinder 5 had too many misfires within a predetermined period of time, codes read like this P0305 P0306 P0300 P0303 P0305 P0306 P0300 P0303. So I bought 3 more plugs and changed 3,5 and 6 again and cleared the codes. The next day same thing happened again car went into limp mode started rumbling had to turn it off and on and barely made it home, I re-scaned and this time it detected misfires on all 6 plus the random misfire code as well.
It definitely sounds like there’s oil getting past the rings and maybe cylinder wall damage. At the very least the engine will need to torn down to inspect, or consider a lower mileage used engine.
Did you ever figure out the answer? My 2006 Honda Odyssey is doing the exact same thing, and no one can figure it out.
Mine is the same as well! Everything I read points back to the VCM/eco mode of these vans! Has anyone had any luck resolving these issues!?
What should the pressure hold at with good compression?
