can a totaly clogged rear manifold style catalatic converter cause my timing belt to jump (fail)?

A clogged cat converter will cause the engine to work under stress and causes an increase in heat to the point where it could cause a fire but it is unlikely to cause the timing belt to break. Timing belts on that Honda is due as regular maintainance every 105000 miles.
