What is your question?
My 2004 Honda Odyssey has 225,000 miles on it. The engine runs great. Recently, I noticed that the emergency brake light started flashing when driving. At times, the car would stall and after restarting it was fine. Before I could get it looked at, I was driving and the emergency brake light came on and shortly after the transmission disengaged but the car did not stall. I shut it off and waited a few minutes; I restarted the car and no lights came on and the transmission reengaged fine and I brought it home. Before I bring it to my mechanic, I was curious if you think there is some connection between the emergency brake malfunctioning and the transmission or it's just a coincidence.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Emergency brake light flashes and transmission disengages when driving. When the light is off the transmission seems fine. Coincidence?
How long has your 2004 Honda Odyssey had this problem?
a week

Hello, I'm not familiar with an occasion where the red brake light will flash, honestly. Therefore, it is difficult to say what the transmission concern could be and if it is or is not related, unfortunately. Testing is required, so your chosen mechanic will hopefully be able to figure it out.
