I can't get the running or driving lights to work on the tail lights on my car what should i look for and how can i fix it?

Check fuses first. Try jiggling and tapping on the headlight switch see if the lights flicker on at all, if they do check the connector on the headlight switch and the headlight switch itself. Other than that you'll need to have a wiring diagram, volt meter and some electrical troubleshooting skills to diagnose this issue.
