I have a 2004 Honda Odyssey, the alternator belt snapped while I was driving. I have changed the belt, but now the car wont start. Any idea of whats going on? Thanks!

First is the battery charged. When the alternator is inoperable the vehicle runs strictly off the battery and it will drain it and possibly ruin it. Second why did the belt break? check to see if the a/c compressor or alternator is locked up or the crank pulley has separated. Third if there is no lights illuminating in the dash with key on, with a good battery and cables check the main fuse. Fourth while trying to start is the engine spinning over. If not possibly a bad starter.
Battery is charged, belt snapped while driving. All lights on dash are stuck on, doors, TCS etc. Main battery fuse ok, It has spark, starter spins, belt spins along with compressor and new alternator
Need to know what DCTs are present. If you can get a hold of a scan tool. write them down then clear them. It is possible that when the belt snapped it tore a wire to the CKP sensor (crankshaft position sensor) or the CMP sensor (camshaft position sensor) The CKP connector is behind the crank pulley and runs from behind the crank pulley and up to the rear timing cover. Also check to see if the camshaft spins while trying to start. There is a inspection plug on the top front side of the front timing cover. Remove than plug and spin the engine over. If it spins and the CKP and CMP wire are ok, you need to check the timing through the same inspection plug. You will rotate the the crankshaft with a 19mm socket clockwise until you see a line on the cam pulley with a #1 above it (there are six lines for CYL #1 - #6). Once that is lined up look at the crankshaft pulley and you should see a white mark on the top edge of it see if it lines up with the pointer on the lower timing cover. Also inspect the rear timing mark on the rear timing cover with the same type of inspection plug (there is only one line on the rear cam for CYL#1).
