I want to add an external amber turn signal light to my car

my r front turn signal light is out and cannot be repaired without extreme cost. We changed the bulb- that did not work. Power check to wire- yes. Took to dealer...."It might be your wire harness....could be over $1000.00. Might not be though...." I would like to put a light on the outside of the vehicle to take the place of this light. I'm thinking magnetic trailer towing lights. I have a small car. No trailer wire harness hook-up. If I do need to go that route, how much can I expect to spend to get the hook-up? Any suggestions on the magnetic lights? Is there a better solution? Don't laugh too hard this...I am a girl....lol Thanks in advance. Grace
