Oil change: do I go by the oil gauge in the dash or by the shop sticker recs?

The oil change light on the Honda will result in very long intervals between changes. We have found that changing the oil every 5000 miles will prolong the life of the engine and give you overall better service. These small engines have to work very hard to keep up with Houston traffic and are subject to high heat, dirty air and often long idle periods in traffic.
