What is your question?
Altenator was replaced in my car. I then noticed that the battery light started blinking . I had the battery checked and it was good. Found out the altenator was was rebuilt. I had it replaced with a brand new one. I then noticed that when starting my car, it took longer and was acting like it did not want to turn over. Went out off town and turned it off. It would not start. Roadside charged the battery and suggested that it was the altenator. I drove it home and turned it off. Immediately it would not start again. I started it up the next morning and the three mornings after that but have not driven it. Now it is not starting again. As I am clearly not a mechanic, any suggestions would be appreciated. Each time I take my car in for repairs, I am at the mercy (no disrespect intended) of the mechanic and as with all professions, there are good ones and bad ones. I have spent a fair amount of money on my car this year because I love it but need my car back for work. TY

Hello, You are certainly correct, there are good and bad techs out there, and we spend quite a bit of time with the shops in our network to ensure they are the best of the bunch. As for the issue, it sounds like there is an issue with your connection to the battery. Perhaps a battery terminal is loose, there may be a bad ground, or the battery cables may be corroded internally or damaged otherwise. The thing that gets me is that charging issues are not often difficult to resolve, and any good technician will be able to get to the bottom of the issue. For what it's worth, I do not think you have a bad alternator because the vehicle would stall at some point while driving.
