Can navigation be changed to stay in day mode

When it turns dark, my navigation on imaps goes to night mode which makes it difficult for me to see. Have already changed my iPhone to stay in day mode till midnight but navigation screen still changes to night mode. Is there a way to keep it in brighter day mode?
