Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. How many miles are on the CRV? It sounds like since the noise is affected by braking, it could be related to the way the brakes are installed. Has there been brake service done anytime in the recent past? Rotational noise could be from the internal differential or transmission also. Or wheel bearings. Hands on - ears on - inspection is needed. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
