What is your question?
My pads were horrible it was like pratically metal on metal and the rotors are bad, the new kit is coming friday, I couldnt wait for the pads cause idk if it will last so I bought these cheap pads from autoshack and changed only them. I then tested the brakes and went fast and braked hard and you could smell a smoking burning smell then I stopped the car and the pads or something was smoking
What makes this problem better or worse?
Braking hard
How long has your 2015 Honda CR-V had this problem?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Good news and bad news here. The good news is that some smell and light smoke after new brake pads is actually normal during the break in period, especially if you hit them hard right away. New pads need to be "bedded in" gradually with light to moderate stops first. The bad news is that since your rotors are already damaged from the metal on metal wear, new pads on bad rotors will never perform properly and can wear unevenly fast. The smoke also may indicate a seized caliper which is a real safety concern. It's probably best not to drive it until you can get a handle on it.
