What is your question?
I bought a used, like new 2014 CRV Honda. It had 22,000 and actually sat in an old ladies garage for a long time. The inside of the car does not smell like smoke, but the vents blow out a faint smell of cigarettes even after being cleaned multiple times at professional car wash places. Does this indicate a bigger problem, or is this just a stubborn smell that’s hard to get out? Do you have any suggestions?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Time after cleaning, cleaning does help
How long has your 2014 Honda CR-V had this problem?
Only owned a couple months

The best recommendation I can make is to ensure you replace the cabin air filter. This filter is between the blower and the vents. If there are any odors trapped there, they will continue to smell. Other than that, the smell can be coming from within the plenum itself, or be mated to plastic components. It may take some time to dissipate. There is really no perfect way to get rid of this smell. Some detail shops utilize an "ozone machine" which does a good job of removing odors.
