Between 30 and 40 miles per hour there is a noticeable vibration around the middle of the vehicle underneath is it the transmission or what's causing that problem

Hi - I am Dave, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. It would not be unheard of to have axle shaft vibrations - but I wouldn't guess at that before doing needed physical testing. If you have a 4WD or AWD model - it could have to do with the driveshaft to the rear wheels also. But that's a big guess. Better to use appropriate resources to find out what is going on.
