Hello, why replace the motor? The timing chain and gears can be replaced, if you're looking at a check engine light and running issue. This is far cheaper than replacing the engine. In my experience, the block, rings and pistons do not sustain failures, but the timing chain can stretch due to infrequent oil changes. Note -- don't pay attention to the "maintenance minder" -- change your oil every 5,000 miles once repairs are completed.
