What is your question?
2010 CRV. My mother took her vehicle for an oil change, valve adjustment and spark plug replacement at 72,000 miles. Vehicle was operating perfectly. During the time it was in the shop, somehow, the power steering pump failed....spontaneously. No leaks at the pump or entire system....no noise of any kind. I have never head of a power steering pump failing to pressurize the system, other than if it were leaking.
What makes this problem better or worse?
total failure, p/s pump was replaced
How long has your 2010 Honda CR-V had this problem?
It happened instantly last week

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The power steering pump can fail to provide power assist if the pump internally has a concern. It is hard to understand the coincidence that could occur when regular maintenance was performed. What is the current symptom? How do you know it is the pump that has failed? I would recommend a second opinion. Reach out to a shop near you for guidance. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
