Vents freezing in defrost position

The dash vents should have little or no air coming out when the vehicle's climate control system is set to defrost mode. Some light residual air may come out indeed, but not much. Keep in mind that super cold outside temperatures may require the inside of the vehicle to moderate a bit before everything is warm.
