What is your question?
Car turned off while driving 40 mph on the road. Car will now crank but won't start. New starter, new fuel pump. Have a code "D3". Also, have a key lit up on dashboard. But, how would key suddenly not be programmed? And would the key make the car suddenly shut off while driving? (The key is taped together because I've had problems with it before. But, it is taped tight)

D3 is not a code. Key lit up on dashboard indicates some kind of immobilizer issue. However, the immobilizer system will prevent the starter from cranking if a key is faulty. I'd honestly be looking at engine timing and compression. Depending on oil changes and usage, I've seen some timing chains stretch and jump time. Just a guess but can be certainly a cause of stall and no start. Hands on testing, regardless, is needed.
