Tpms failure why would this happen?

Hello, I can't say for sure without doing some hands on testing, but I can definitely say that a 14 year old vehicle with tire pressure sensors in the wheels will eventually lose battery power, causing loss of signal. This can only be rectified by replacing the sensors. You likely will need 4 new sensors due to age and loss of power. Just a guess, and hands on testing is needed, but this sounds consistent with your concern description.
