Sputtering at 3,000 rpm instead of shifting and occasional loss of power when going 75 when gets up to 3,000 rpm. At first would happen when oil was real low and was good once oil was added but is beginning to when oil is full.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, yes, low oil level will cause performance issues. But it sounds like some other concern. I would check into engine performance and make sure compression and timing is good. Low oil level over a period of time will cause internal engine issues, and power and performance and engine timing concerns. I'm wondering about the transmission's performance also - worth having checked. Seek local guidance at a shop near you for hands on testing. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
