What is your question?
Within the last 2 weeks, this sound became noticable. Turning on the A/C the power is somewhat diminised and there is a louder engine sound. Turning it off, power is restored and sound goes away. The dealer said the compressor needed to be replaced. A radiator specialist said the radiator is fine. Suggestions?

Could also be to low Octane Gas. When the AC is on the Timing gets advanced a few degree to help compensate the load. Maybe you are hearing enging pin/knock. Usally there is a knock detector but has limited range in controlling the spark advance. If this is the case be carefull you can burn holes in the pistons. At least try a can of octane booster and see if that helps, plus it usally cleans ingectors as a plus

Thank you for the response. I will try this. Also the last sentence should read: A radiator specialist checked the compressor and said it was ok.
