I have 98 Honda CR-V that shakes the whole vehicle when idling. I have change plugs and plugs wire. Would a bad distributor cap cause this and how do you tell if one is going bad

Hello, I would focus more on ensuring that engine mounts are not broken or worn out. If your engine runs properly under load, I don't usually suspect ignition components. Certainly, a performance concern could be present and testing is warranted, but I would start with a physical inspection of the mounts first, as at idle these can cause perceived excessive vibration.
