What is your question?
Scratching noise from right side of car that comes and goes. It tends to happen at slower speeds, like under 40 mph. It goes away when braking. Also I find that the noise gets triggered when making turns/slight turns. I took it to a mechanic who replaced front brakes/rotors, but it’s still making the noise. Doesn’t seem to have gotten much better after replacement.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Better when braking/stopped
How long has your 2018 Honda Civic had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. If the noise you are hearing goes away when braking, it would seem to me that it's related to something in the brake system. I would question the installation of the brake pads, anti-rattle clips and the proper application and fitment of the parts. Sometimes we assume the parts are right and it's done right -- but you can never be entirely fully sure unless you have a Certified shop or dealership using genuine Honda parts. There are definitely ways to install things incorrectly -- where the brakes work but you get weird noises like this. So, it would be a good idea to have a good inspection of the brake system to verify all parts are installed properly and are of good quality. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
