What is your question?
These are the current steps I am doing when changing my CVT fluid. 1 - Remove drainplug to drain fluid. 2 - Clean magnet, reinstall drainplug with new washer. 3 - Remove check plug. 4 - Fill with Honda CVT fluid until slight dribble from check plug hole, then reinstall check plug (new washer included) 5 - Start engine 6 - Press brake pedal, go through each gear, pausing 3 seconds in between. 7 - Remove check plug. 8 - Fill until slight dribble from check plug, then reinstall check plug. I'm getting conflicting information after step five, these are my questions: Q1: Is my current process correct? Q2: Do I need to wait for the car to fully warm up after step 5 before proceeding to step 6? Q3: Or should I perform steps 5 & 6, and then let the car fully warm up before proceeding to steps 7-8? Which is the correct process? The reason I ask is I am usually putting in a full 4 quarts of fluid in my change, and I think it's too much. Thank you,

According to my sources the process would be as follows for a 2015 Honda Civic Coupe 1.8 w/ CVT: Fluid Replacement (Adding & Adjusting Fluid Level) NOTE: Add transmission fluid after the shift lever operation without spending too much time. 1.Lower the vehicle on the lift. (if Applicable, and if not parked on a flat level surface) 2.Start the engine, and warm it up to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on twice). 3.While pressing the brake pedal firmly, shift in turn the shift lever to P→R→N→D→S→D→N→R→P (with paddle shifters)/ P→R→N→D→S→L→S→D→N→R→P (without paddle shifters) , and wait for at least 3 seconds to each position. 4.Turn the engine off. 5.Raise the vehicle on the lift, and make sure it is securely supported. (if Applicable, and if not parked on a flat level surface) 6.Remove the filler plug (A) and the sealing washer (B). NOTE: Be careful not to burn yourself by the hot part 7. Add the transmission with the recommended fluid into the filler plug hole (A) until transmission fluid overflows. Always use Honda HCF-2 Continuously Variable Transmission Fluid. 8. Reinstall the filler plug with a new sealing washer. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, let us know!
