What is your question?
I made a turn with my 2014 Honda Civic LX and after the u turn, I heard a noise that sounded like a hit an object near a rear tire and the wheels began to spin when I was pressing on the accelerator. The car motor was running, no tires were flat, no lights were on to indicate any failures. The car would not drive in drive or reverse. No noises occurred when shifting from park to drive or drive to neutral. I shifted from drive to reverse and then hit the accelerator. There was a noise a few seconds after hitting the accelerator. The car was moving in park after the tow truck delivered it to the repair shop. I just had my vehicle serviced two weeks ago for oil and multi-point inspection. My car has over 119,000 miles. Do you think this is transmission or another issue? The tow truck driver suggested a transmission issue. I am preparing to purchase a new vehicle just in case. Thank you.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing helped so far

Hello, this is an extremely unusual situation. I would look for signs of impact damage first -- see if something caused physical damage. I would also check transmission fluid level and condition. Was transmission fluid serviced at your last maintenance visit? These vehicles really don't experience catastrophic failures on their own -- they are extremely reliable. Anything can happen, but I suspect something causing the concern to be visible.
