I had the same problem with my 2012 Honda Civic, volume control on the steering wheel didn't work, lights on the radio were out... until my battery died. I replaced the battery and the volume control on the steering wheel and radio lights mysteriously worked again. Try removing the battery for 5 - 15 minutes, let it reset the car. Hope it helps!!!
I had the same issue. But instead of disconnecting the battery which might be more work, try to remove the number 28, 29 fuse from the fuse box under the hood. Those fuses correspond to ECU backup and interior lighting. After a few mins plug the fuses back in and voila, the issue is gone.
Thanks, I had this same problem on my 2012 Hoda Civic and temporarily removing fuses # 28 and 29 fixed my problem! Appreciate it!
YES!!!! Thanks viral.860...this worked like a charm on my 2012 Civic! Way easier than messing with the battery! Thank you, thank you!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to put a fix to this on line. It worked. Thanks again.
