Car wouldn't start out of the blue, battery only about 2 years old. Car starts if jumped. Battery tech said battery not charging so must be alternator. Replaced alternator, car would not start. Jumped car and it started. Let idle for 20 minutes and took for drive. Several times all lights dimmed and car acted as if it was going to stall but then lights came back on and car ran fine and repeat. Came home and turned car off, battery definitely should have been charged by now. When car was first jumped battery read 14.2 volts while running and then down to 13.4 volts after going for a drive but while still running. Dash lights come on but car will not start or even turn over just as before alternator was replaced.
