I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR AND THERE IS NO RECORD I WANTED TO CHANGE THE TIMING BELT BUT COMES UP IT HAS A TIMING CHAIN WITH THIS MANY MILES SHOULD I HAVE IT REPLACED I WAS TOLD NO NEED TO??HOW OFTEN IS IT CHANGED?

Depending on the engine type, it could be interferance which means if the belt breaks it will bend valve costing a lot more money than just replacing the timing belt.

Your car has a timing chain, which does not have a regular replacement interval. Use a good quality synthetic motor oil, replace it regularly and the chain should be good for long time. There is a problem with this engine though. The engine block is prone to crack even from one overheating, so make sure the cooling system is in top shape. Get the thermostat replaced, make sure the radiator is clean, hoses are in good shape,no coolant leak at all. I'd get a cooling system flush just to be on the safe side. The good thing is that Honda extended the warranty for 8 years / unlimited miles on the engine block. Zee
