What is your question?
My check engine light has been on for about a week. I took it to AAMCO to have it checked out to get the code from the computer. The code is P2000. Can you give me help with where I need to take the car to take care of this problem.

This has to do with the Engine Computer determining that the Catalytic Converter can not absorb enough NOx. It is very much the same as a P0420 code. See this article that addresses this subject. http://repairpal.com/OBD-II-Code-P0420 There is a software update for this problem as long as your vehicle is not a PZEV Hybrid, it applies to the ULEV Hybrids. Contact Honda here is the number - > TSB 07-036 came out in June 2007
I had the same problem with my 2004 Civic and the software had already been updated. The dealership said I had to replace both catalytic converters and it would cost over $3000. I found a direct fit rear catalytic converter for $179 and paid a garage $130 in labor to put it on. Would have done it myself but everything was too rusty. Either way, problem fixed for a little over $300 vice $3000.

The best advise for a P2000 code is to go to a Honda Dealer and pay to have them reset computer and see if it comes back. My guess is it won't for about another 60,000 miles. Jerry
